Tribute
TIMOTHY POSTMA was born in Duncan BC on January 3, 1983. He passed away in Calgary AB on September 16, 2016 as a result of a single vehicle motorcycle accident. He was the eldest son of Pieter & Betty Postma, and the older brother to Kerry(Colin) Mullett, Julie(Jonathan) Schweizer, Lisa, Colin, Nathan, Reuben and Simon, and an uncle to Chloe, Paige, Penny, Lily, Elsie and Alice. Tim was also the first grandchild of Herman & Ida van Boven, and part of a large extended family. Tim was likeable and had many friends in Duncan, Calgary and beyond. Tim treasured the unconditional love and affection of his pitbull Sam and later, Rosa.
Tim grew up in Duncan and moved to Calgary in his early twenties, working there in the service industry. He was out having a ride on a clear night, travelling at 70-80 km/hr. For some unknown reason he hit the median in a corner and lost control, receiving fatal head & neck injuries after hitting a tree. According to the coroner, alcohol does not appear to have been a factor. As his family, we are very sad for his passing, however we know he is safe in heaven with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We are asking for your favourite memories to be written and brought with you, or sent to us at colinandkerry@live.com, so we can make and keep a Memory Book. We`d appreciate your stories, your memories, and impressions of Tim’s life. We are all hurting and show that in many different ways. Tim would want us to have grace for each other. Tim left a trail, a legacy of touched lives and shared burdens. He will be missed, but never forgotten, and we look forward to being reunited with him when our journeys join once again.

Burial: 12:00 noon at Mountain View Cemetery, 6493 Somenos Road, Duncan, BC
Memorial Service: 1:30 pm at New Life Community Baptist Church, 1839 Tzouhalem Road, Duncan, BC

I worked with Tim at the Elbow River Casino. I am a server. Even though we only knew each other for a short time. The day I met Tim I knew right away the special soul he has. His soul, personality, wit, carisma… just everything makes him such a special gift from God To have that had the pleasure to meet him. My heart and prayers are with everyone who had that opportunity!

I had the great pleasure of working with Tim for a short while. He always had the biggest smile on his face every time I saw him.I really didn’t know Tim very well however, I knew that this young man has a very special soul.
