H. W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre and Hayward’s Funeral located on Salt Spring Island are independent, full service, family owned funeral homes.  Harold Wallace has assisted Island families to honour the loss of a loved one for over 20 years.

Harold W. Wallace, President and Owner,
H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre Inc.

Harold was born in St. John’s Nfld. He graduated from Funeral Service Program at Humber College in Etobicoke, Ontario June 1989. He worked for Patrick J. Darte Funeral Home in St. Catharines, ON from February 4th 1986 until May 15th 1992, when he and his wife Michelle moved to Duncan. Here he worked as a funeral director for Arbor Memorial Services Inc. until November 26th 2007. Michelle and Harold finally fulfilled their dream by opening their own Funeral Home on March 16th 2008.

Harold has been involved in a variety of Service clubs for over 25 years. He is past President of the Optimist Club of St. Catharines; past President of the Kiwanis Club of Duncan; Past President of the Cowichan Valley Shrine Club (2003 and 2005). His memberships include the Duncan Elks Home #69, Royal Canadian Legion #53, Moose Lodge, Confederation Lodge as well as an affiliate member of Temple Lodge. Harold and his business support the following community organizations and endeavors:
