“Don’t cry because it's over….smile because it happened”
Tanis will be incredibly missed. She is survived by her Dad (Eric), Mom (Donna) and her special brother (Dale) as well, many family and friends and extended family in Campbell River, the Cowichan Valley, Okotoks, AB and Honeymoon Bay. She had a very good heart, a great sense of humour and a gregarious laugh. She loved to sing, loved coordinated fashion, movies, National Geographic TV, all animals but especially dogs. She was also very creative and artisitic. Tanis has overcome many challenges in her short life, but the past 5 years have been a source of pride, independence, accomplishments, happiness and reconnections. Thank you to all the organizations, support groups, outreach workers, medical workers and the staff at Rose Harbour who all helped make this possible. We are very proud of her. A gathering of friends and family for remembrance will be held at a later date. Special thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Campbell River Hospital, the Air Ambulance Crew, the amazing doctors and nurses and all the support staff in the ICU at the Nanaimo General Regional Hospital. Your hugs, words of encouragement, caring and guidance were deeply appreciated.

Donna & Eric were our first friends when we moved from Winnipeg to Lake Cowichan in 1965. You were the best! I never forgot how you welcomed us into your life and we met Tanis @ Dale for the first time. Thank you again. Tanis, I see you asleep in the arms of an Angel, knowing that you did your best. 😇. 💓
