Tribute

In Loving Memory

I would like to share the loss of my wife and best friend, Shelley on December 16, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at Cowichan District Hospital.

Remembered with love by her husband of 50 years, Ed McKelvie, her daughter Kim and son-in-law Corey, and Granddaughters Victoria, Paisley, and Wren, all of Duncan, B.C.; her Grandsons Christopher (McKayla), Anthony (Hannah), and Trevor, all of Vancouver Island, B.C., and Grandson Nick (Chantal) and twin Great-Granddaughters Payton & Grace of Mackenzie, B.C.

Shelley was sorrowfully predeceased by Grant, Shelley & Ed McKelvie’s beloved son and Kim’s much loved brother.

Born to Joyce and Art Chamberlain of Duncan, B.C., Shelley is survived by her brother Brian (Judy) & family, sister Penny Gubbels & family, and sister Anne Currie & family.

She will always be remembered as the artist in our family and as the Craftiest of Grandmas. She loved being a part of a local printmakers group. Shelley is recognized for being an amazing family historian, and not just for her own ancestry, she was very interested in all things genealogy and researching family history for others. Always known for taking photos galore, for being the organized one, and the creator of traditions and memories within our family and with her 4 All Seasons family.

“If you ask me what I came into this life to do, I will tell you: I came to live out loud.” ~ Emile Zola

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
