Tribute
On May 25th, 2021, Pat passed away peacefully at home and into the arms of his savior Jesus. He was deeply loved by his wife of 73 years, Evelyn (nee Bowser). He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
Pat was born in Sussex, New Brunswick to Bill and Bessie Whitters.
He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for almost 30 years – a career that took him to many different places in Canada and Europe before bringing him and his family to Vancouver Island in 1961. Over the last 60 years, Pat has made his home in many south and mid Island communities before settling in the Cowichan Valley. Pat was an avid philatelist, fisherman, gardener, golfer and curler.
He is survived by his wife and their three children: Lynn (Ray), his children Chris and Mario; Kerry (Nancy), his children Ryan (Jen) and Matthew; Barry (Myrna) and their children Rachel (Jay) and Daniel; Great grandchildren Isabel, Noah, Ariana, Nathaniel, Robyn and Imani. Special thanks to HW Wallace Cremation and Burial Services in Duncan.
