Patrick was born in Victoria BC on February 16th 1973 to Patrick and Conni Horgan, he moved to the Cowichan Valley at the age of 6 where he grew up in Cobble Hill on the family farm.
At the age of (22), he met the love of his life Michelle and they moved to Shawnigan Lake, it was there that they grew their family by welcoming two beautiful girls Olivia (now age 16)and Madeline (now age 13).
Patrick enjoyed hobbies such as fishing and hunting and all things outdoors. Musically Patrick loved playing the drums and learned to play the violin.
Patrick also had a passion for the Martial Arts specifically in the system of Shorin-ji Ryu Karate. Patrick was not only as a practitioner but also a beloved Sensei having received his 4th Dan certificate from Sensei Mortley surrounded by his students, family and friends shortly before his passing.
On June 13th 2024 Patrick left us surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with brain cancer.
We are forever grateful to those who supported Patrick through the ups and downs of that battle the true warrior that he was.

Pat taught me karate starting from age 6 until I was 16. I’ll never forget his humour in class as well as how he was both gentle and firm in his teaching. I learned many life lessons from him and I still remember in my twenties, the first kata he ever taught me and the 6 words too. Sending much love and prayers towards his family.
