Miles Phillips

Tribute
Passed away suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday January 23, 2014. Born in Toronto, Ontario on October 27, 1965. Lovingly remembered by his wife Angela Marston, their children Jasmin and Autumn, his Uncle Richard and Kathy, and his cousins Colin, Andy and Mark. He will be missed by his mother-in-law, Jane Marston, father-in-law, David Marston, and many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Miles was known for his kind loving heart radiant smile and always believing and seeing the best in people.
A Private Service for family and close friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Miles Phillips Memorial trust fund that has been established at CIBC account number is 2187915 branch 240

I am so sorry to hear of this tragic loss. I really liked Miles and enjoyed working with him. When he worked for The Simon Charlie Society, I was given fond and enthusiastic memories of working on the coast salish calenders and other potential projects with him. He helped instill in me confidence to pursue other areas related to Coast Salish knowledge 🙂

I have known Miles for many years through his work in community projects to assist unemployed people to gain skills to get back to work and to provide legacy projects in the community that will have an impact for years to come. Miles was smart, passionate about his work and ideas, and committed to the improvement of community services in the Cowichan Valley. He will be greatly missed.
