Tribute

With sadness we announce the passing of our caring mother, grandmother, and aunt in the comfort of her own home.  Marian was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. but moved between Vancouver Island and the mainland a few times before settling in Duncan over 17 years ago.  She worked at the HMCS Discovery Naval Reserve in Stanley Park before starting her family, and, being a flower lover, was a florist in later years.  Marian was also a movie extra and a lover of Country Music who visited Nashville several times.  She enjoyed gardening, walking, and shopping.  She is predeceased by her parents, three siblings, one granddaughter, and many friends.  She is survived by her seven children:  Ken, Carolyn, Allan, Dennis (Sery), Teresa (Bob), Laura, and Michelle (Wayne); 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  She will be interned at Mountain View Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
