Kenneth Robert Williams

Born March 23rd 1925

Ken passed away peacefully at Cowichan District Hospital on Saturday June 30th 2012 and was reunited with his late wife of 53 years Jean Williams,

He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 23 years. After retiring from the military he worked for the Department of Transport where he did electrical design for airports both domestic and international.

In his personal life he was very active in the N.C.O. mess, taught Sunday school, organized and ran adult and youth bowling leagues, and was a scout leader.

After retiring Ken was very active in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, was an avid coin and stamp collector, and loved woodworking and do it yourself projects.

Ken was loved and will be greatly missed by his beloved family. Including five siblings: Frank W. (Bill) Williams, James Williams, Joan Holstius, Valerie Garrod and Keith Williams (deceased). Three children and one stepson: Valerie Housman (Larry), Kenneth G. Williams (Leigh), Charles Williams (Karen –deceased) and Peter Robertson (survived by Gail). Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren: Tina Meikle (Mark), children Alexander and Samantha; Samantha Garstang (Daniel), son Nathaniel; Geoff Robertson (Michelle), son Jared; Saxon Burke (Thomas); Calyann Williams; and Richard Williams. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
