Joan Marie Sleeman

Passed in peace Sat., Jan. 23, 2021 at the age of 83 in Duncan, BC. Born July 27, 1937 in Hamilton, ON to James Arthur Crysler and Doris May (nee Bailey).
She never strayed far from her hometown until she met and married her highschool sweetheart and the love of her life, Jack. Her focus in life was her family, and she loved cooking, gardening, and crafts.
She is predeceased by her husband, Jack Valentine and son Jack Arthur. Loving mother of Jack William, Jane (Brian), Jonathan (Aven), and Jennifer (Bernard). Grandmother of Jack Patrick, Michael, and Liam. Sister of Pat, Debbie, and Jimmy.
Joan will be remembered fondly by family and friends as a loving mother, accomplished cook, green thumb, spirited humourist, and kind hearted person.
A service for the family will be held 3pm Friday, January 29 in the chapel of the H.W. Wallace Cremation & Burial Centre 5285 Polkey Road Duncan, BC
V9L 6W3.
A celebration of life is planned for July 27, 2021 in the chapel of H.W. Wallace. ~ In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Relation: Joan and Jack were long time patients of a Doctor I used to work for in Duncan
I’m so sorry for your loss, Joan and Jack were a wonderful fun loving couple. Joan was always good for a laugh.
