Tribute
AAGAARD, Helene Cecile (nee Cuche) formerly Harrison.
Following her courageous struggle with Bone and Kidney Cancer, Mom
passed peacefully on August 31, 2009. Helene was predeceased by her
parents, Rebecca and Roger Cuche, her first husband Art, daughter Linda
and son Roger Harrison. She is survived by her husband of 31 years,
Per Aagaard, her daughter Elaine (Shayne) McGinn, sons Craig, Brent,
Scott (Jennifer) and Morgan (Shellie) Harrison. Grandchildren Elliot,
Andrew, Summer, Chantelle, Brock, Brandon, Marcia, Martin, Ryan,
Autumn and Selena, great granddaughter Sienna.
Helene will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered as a wonderful
wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great friend.
Helene was born in Montreal, Quebec on September 27th, 1932 and
came to Victoria in 1946. Since 1972 lived in Crofton, North Cowichan,
Nanaimo and Duncan. She was on the board of directors for
the Crofton Community Centre Society and an active member of the
Catering Group until 1988.
Her passion was animals, gardening & landscaping, painting and in later years needlepoint.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
Celebration of Life to be held at the Moose Lodge. 2244 Moose Road,
Duncan, B.C. Saturday, September 5th, from 1 to 3.
