Helen Butler

September 23, 1941 - April 18, 2018

Tribute

Mom passed away peacefully in the comfort of the family home with her daughter and son by her side on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the age of 76, four years after the passing of Dad.

Helen was born September 23, 1941 in Princeton, BC where she was raised until she moved to Vancouver and became a comptometer operator at Standard Oil.  It was in Vancouver that she met her husband, Rance and moved to Duncan where they raised their family.

In later years, she worked at Dairy Queen & Eaton’s shoe department where many long lasting friendships were made.

For anyone who knew mom, her family and friends always came first.  Mom enjoyed camping, traveling AND most of all retail therapy.

She was a loving mom to daughter Brenda (Rob) and son John (Tammy).  Also a very special gramma to Kristie, Derek and Kimberly (Luke), Justin, Brett as well as great gramma to Anaiyah, Rosalia, Lane and Faith.  She will also be missed by her sister Betty and nephews Jason and Terry-John.

A very special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Cancer Clinic as well as Dr. Postiuk and the support from Cowichan Valley Home Care.

Service will be held on Saturday April 28th at 1:00 PM at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road.
