HILL: Harold David – Born in New Norway, AB on July 4, 1926 David passed away May 18, 2009 at the Cowichan District Hospital. Predeceased by his parents William and Mariam, sisters Eileen, Margaret and Trudy and son Derek. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Verna, brother Ralph, sisters Adelaide and Daphne (Jim) Ahara, sons, Darryl (Denise), Gary (Dawn), Garth (Anna) and daughter Laurel (Jim) McDaniel. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Verna and family wish to thank Dr. T. Elliott and the nursing staff at the Cowichan District Hospital for their kindness and compassion while caring for David.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1071 Canada Ave., Duncan BC on Monday May 25, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Following the Service a reception will be held at the family home. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired memorial remembrances may be made to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation, 4-466 Trans Canada Hwy, Duncan BC V9L 3R6.
