October 4, 1959 – November 24, 2018
With heavy hearts we have to say goodbye to a great man Geno Gagne born in Dawson creek. Predeceased by his parents Jerry and Mary, sister Alice, brother-in-law Sid, brother Marcell, sister Annette, brother-in-law Harry. He leaves behind his wife Tammy , stepdaughters Kristine (Chris) Jamie(Rocky) Erin(Bill) grandchildren Emily ,Jordan, Jake, Josh, Billy, Madison, Randi, Ryder great grandchildren Connor, Marissa nephews Daryl (Deb), Dan, Kevin, Dalton nieces Debra, Diana ( Dean ) Donna, Tracey, Laura, (Clint) Chelsea, Malia father and mother in-law Dale and Pat Weaver sisters-in-law Shannon (Barney) brother-in-law Darren(Heather) great nephew Johnny, Joey, David, Damian, great nieces Sarah Rena Emma Sophia Frya, Breanna, Destiny and Kane his faithful companion, many other family and friends who were family to him. Geno spent the first chapter of his life with family and friends in Dawson Creek, where he was a letter carrier, where he spent his time hunting fishing and quading with family and friends. Until he moved to Lake Cowichan to start his second chapter with Tammy and his instant family and continued as a letter carrier and formed many new friendships. But made his trips back home to see his family and friends, through travel Geno and Tammy found their place in the sun and made many trips to Cuba with friends and to meet up with the new friends made on their travels.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Lake Cowichan Firehall on December 15,2018 @ 2:00 pm – #3 North Shore Drive, Lake Cowichan, BC. V0R – 2G0.
A celebration will be held in Dawson Creek in late spring.

Our condolences to Geno’s family. Marcel, his brother was our best man at our wedding. I remember when Geno was born, Marcel and I played hookey that day and watched the World Series! Used to see him often while growing up and becoming a man. RIP Geno…..

Dearest Tammy & Lake Family & Dawson Creek Family, Geno was a 1 in a million guy. The kind of guy you want your dear friend to meet. We were there in those new beginning days. Tammy going to Dawson Creek & returning home all giggly & happier than we’d ever seen her. Then Geno came to the Lake & we were all giggly & immensly happy for her. Geno gave me recipes & he & Gary would always beat us at Catch Phrase! He helped our kids, my brother, shared tools, & was the best neighbour that became a dear friend. Geno’s humour was a force, even his laugh made you laugh. The love he gave to our dear Tammy & girls was genuine & rare. He will be missed yet his memory will always be about celebrating life as he did so well. If you ever met Geno you could never forget him. See you on the other side, we’ll know you by your laugh & calm generous spirit. Hasta Luego Amigo xox
