From: Frank and Ruth Hartmann
Relation: Old Friend

hello Joyce and family

I met Doug when we worked together at Pacific Coast
Installations. We were partnered together for a large part
of the time, many long drives to Port Hardy, Port Mcneil,
and Mt Washington. When we were out of town
working and driving the long stretches up island we spent
many hours talking. Doug mentored me as an electrician
and was a huge part in helping me start my career. We
spent countless hours talking about life, his kids and
grandchildren and me just starting out with my family. Doug
was always kind and patient with me and he made me a better
electrician and person.

I learned alot from Doug, not only about electrical but also about
life, work ethic, pride of a job well done, being positive, rolling up
one’s sleaves and getting stuck in no matter how lousy the job.

What has stayed with me to this day was Doug’s huge love for
his beautiful Joyce and his family.

In deepest sympathy
