Tribute
On the afternoon of September 25, 2019, Dennis Allan Murphy quietly passed away with his family by his side. He will be missed by his wife of 41 years, Norah. His children, Erin (Jason), Mark (Jessica) and John (Misook) and grandchildren Ronin, Brooklyn, Parker, Jillie, Jonah and baby Murphy. Along with numerous others he called his “other” children.
He had many titles over the years; son, brother, husband, dad, cousin, uncle and friend but his favourite title was Papa.
Dennis liked to have a good time, and was often seen holding a drink and cracking a joke. His favourite activities included long drives, sitting by the pool in Mexico, being silly with his grand babies and taking his dogs to the beach.
Born in Clinton Ontario on August 14, 1955 to a military family, he lived in many places over the years but the Cowichan Valley was his home. He loved his Island! He would spends many hours at the beach watching the freighters and sea life.
