Barbra Lorraine Warkentin (Simpson)

Tribute
It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the death of our beloved daughter and mother, Barbra Warkentin, predeceased by her best friend and love of her life, husband James Henry. She is survived by her daughters Sarah Carolee and Hannah Katrina as well as her parents Jack Simpson and Carolee Gates (Bob/Bonnie). Barb was born in Burnaby and live in Pitt Meadows for her later years then made her home in Duncan for the past five years.
Barb had suffered from her disease for over 20 years and mostly in silence until it finally took her, leaving her in no more pain. Barb adored her children and cherished her childhood friends, she always said she was lucky to have such an extended family including her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the Doctors and staff at Cowichan District Hospital and the Pharmacy at London Drugs who have helped Barb through this ordeal, especially Dr. Ismail and Dr. Deroche. Thanks to Dr. Jones and Dr. Erb in Vancouver, we will also never forget all the kindness at Biscay Manor, thank you, she was happy there, Barb was loved by all she met and now it’s time that Jamie calls her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Maple Ridge Legion on Sunday, June 5th, 2016 at 1:00 PM
