Anna Teresa White

Tribute
White, Anna Teresa (Mankiewicz) passed away January 13 at the age of 87 years in Duncan British Columbia. She was born on November 27, 1936 in Wilno Poland to Josefa and Piotr Mankiewicz. She and her family survived WW2 in German forced labor camps and then immigrated to Canada in 1950, settling In Ontario. She married Charles Francis White of Bolton Ontario on January 19th, 1963 and they moved to Winnipeg Manitoba where they lived until 1984. They then moved to Calgary Alberta until 2008, then onto Duncan B.C. She is survived by her husband Charlie, her daughters Catherine and Jacqueline (Brent); her grandchildren Dillon, Joshua, Cassie (Kevin), Megan (Sheldon) also great-grandchildren Bennett and Adelyn. Loving sister to the late Halina (Frank) Koczuk, Frank Mankiewicz and Jan (Rosie) Mankiewicz; also to Helen (Don) Sharp of Windsor Ontario and Mary (Ken) Dafoe of Windsor Ontario as well as many nieces and nephews. Anna loved to sew and crochet, she was a great cook and absolutely loved to play bingo! Charlie’s ‘Polish Princess ‘is already so missed, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. A very special thank you to all the staff at the Hamlets and Dr. MacGregor who looked after her. Internment at Mountain View Cemetery Duncan, B.C.
