Shaun William Copithorne
Born Dec 8, 1962, in Calgary Alberta. Died Oct 8, 2018 in Crofton B.C. Age 55
On this day, Shaun left to meet his dad.He fought a courageous battle against all odds. with cancer, for 2 years. he died with his mum at his bedside.Shaun left behind his 3 beloved sons, Barry, Robert, and Conrad, brother Mark (Diane), his mum, Margaret (Peggy). Uncle Gary (Gail) Philp and Grandmother Pam Boulette Many nieces and nephews. His sons were the reason he fought so hard to live.Shaun was an Aviation Engineer but worked for Lemmer Spray Systems in Edmonton as a very successful branch manager. 5 years ago moved to Crofton B.C. to his dream home with a beautiful ocean view. He joined Cloverdale Paint in Duncan B.C. Fishing and hunting were his passion. He also built amazing model planes. He could fix almost everything and kept a 1967 Mustang car in pristine condition.His son Robert wrote”. I never realized how strong person he was until I saw him go through chemo after chemo against the recommendations of his doctors. I love and miss him so much”.
Son Conrad wrote, “He was the one guy I could talk to about anything and he could help me. I miss him so much. Love you Dad”.
Special thanks to Dr, Valerie Masuda and the Oncology Staff at the Cowichan and District Hospital in Duncan, The East Team Home Care Nursing out of Duncan and The Cowichan Valley Hospice.
There will be no service, by request and donations in his memory may be made to the Cowichan Valley Hospice.
We will all miss you Shaun.
