OLSON: Brian Helmer : Passed peacefully away at home with his son Steven by his side on Saturday March 27, 2010. Born in Saskatchewan on February 15, 1947. Predeceased by his loving wife Donna in March 22, 2009. Lovingly remembered by his family; sons; Danny (Shanna), Dennis (Jaimie) and Steven (Kara); grandchildren; Austin, DelRae, and Logan; siblings; Axel, Aileen, Ronnie, Yvonne (Pete) and Jack, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Brian worked in the forest industry for 45 years. He loved the outdoors, being an avid fisherman and hunter. Brian was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2546.
A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the Eagle’s Hall 2695 Jacob St., Duncan BC on Thursday, April 1, 2010 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, memorial remembrances may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation,
