Sylvia Peecock

January 16, 1920 - March 18, 2020

Tribute

Predeceased by husbands Francis Taylor and Frank Peecock. Survived by
children Harold Taylor, Brenda Johnson, Rhoda Taylor, and step son Murray
Peecock, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Sylvia
peacefully passed away in her sleep, in her own bed and with her daughter
at her side. A perfect end to a life filled with travel, adventure and interest
in everything around her. What we learned from her, will keep her always
in our hearts and minds!!
Thank you to the residents and staff of Sherwood House in Duncan for
providing a neighbourhood of love, laughter and caring.
Service to be arranged at a later date.

H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre Staff send our condolences to family and friends.

From: Gayle Hurmuses
Relation: Through Rhoda and the IWD rally

My deepest sympathies to Rhoda, Lexy, and the entire family.

It was our honour to have Sylvia, Rhoda, and Lexy with us this year at the International Women’s Day Rally at Charles Hoey Park. Her story and her stories, are an important part of our history, and we were privileged to have shared in the telling of part of it.

From: Ellen Oxman

Rhoda and family, so sorry to hear about your Mother. What an amazing legacy she leaves behind. It was a privilege to see the three of you on stage at IWD and hear share in your Mom’s amazing story. All the best.

From: John G. Orman
Relation: A retired priest and Rector from All Saints Anglican Church

Condolences to all the family at this difficult time. I am enormously thankful for the work that Sylvia and Frank did as volunteers at the All Saints View Royal, Bargain Centre. Assisted by others Sylvia put in many hours each week for about twenty five years. This helped those who needed recycled clothes and other items to receive them, and was a source of income for this Anglican parish. Just part of a long and productive life

From: Leslie Welin
Relation: Acquaintance

I am so very sorry to hear of Sylvia’s death. My mother-in-law, Jean Welin, and Sylvia lived in the same condo complex for years and went to a number of community events together.

From: Rena Leidenius
Relation: She lived in a senior facility where I worked.

I have such lovely memories of Sylvia. She was a vibrant member of the Sherwood House family. My condolences to the family.
