Wilma Adair

August 5, 1952 - March 29, 2025

Tribute

Wilma was an amazing woman with the most beautiful smile.

Her strongest attribute was her love for her children, Brigitte, Sylvia and Dan, as well as her many family members.

She was a very caring person, always helping those in need. Her volunteering could fill volumes.

Christmas was Wilma’s favorite time of year; she loved wearing her Santa hat as she gave those gifts with her eyes glowing with love. She was always looking for the perfect gift throughout the year.

Wilma loved cooking and she loved hosting family dinners where she made sure everyone had many delicious plates to choose from and there were always leftovers for everyone to take home.

Wilma will be missed by her family and everyone that had the privilege of knowing her, but she will be missed the most by Bill, her Husband for 54 ½ years and soulmate from the day they met over 56 years ago.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped Wilma throughout her battle with cancer, with special thanks to the 8th floor staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital, the Cowichan Home Support Workers and the Cowichan Hospice House.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Cowichan Hospice at https://cowichanhospice.org.   and please put Cowichan Hospice House in the memo.

There will be a celebration of life at the Maple Bay Rowing Club, April 27th 2:00 – 4:00

I am sorry for the loss of who is a kind and wonderful person. My heart goes out to the family during such a difficult and daunting time.

From: Lois DeEll
Relation: Running Community Friend

My thoughts are with you, Bill, and the family during this difficult time. My memories of Wilma are when we would walk as a group, when we met for dinners out, and the couple of Vancouver Marathon/Half Marathon trips. They were fun and memorial times.

From: Louise Langley
Relation: I am a close friend of Wilma’s daughter Sylvia.

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him…
PSALM 145:18
As Sylvia’s long time friend, I know the depth of her love for her amazing mom Wilma. The Adair family have shared many happy events and memories and I loved exchanging memories with Sylvia as she glowingly described one gathering after another over a period of more than 33 years since we first met.

May the entire family take comfort in the fact that many friends feel their loss and like me offer their heartfelt condolences.

From: Marilyn
Relation: Brigitte's sister in law.
