Tribute
George passed away peacefully at the Cowichan District Hospital on Friday, October 4, 2013. Born in Rouleau, Saskatchewan on April 12, 1927 to George H. and Janet Johnston. He moved to PEI when he was 8 yrs. Old. He was predeceased by his wife Christina, one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his good friend Marge, sister Jean and many nieces and nephews.
Bill came to the Island when his uncle tolf him to move here to find work. He worked for Hillcrest then WF 1 in Youbou until its closure. Bill was an ardent Bridge player and played at least a couple of times a week. He also enjoyed woodworking.

My deepest condolences to Marge & all the family. I have many memories of our bridge days, Bill was a sweet loveable old guy., We had a standing joke, every Fri. morning at VSO bridge, I’d hug him & ask him if he was grumpy today? When he laughed & said, Yes, then I said, Then you are OK. We’ll miss you. Rest in Peace.
