William Alan Davey

January 25, 1933 - February 7, 2026

Tribute

Days after celebrating his 93rd birthday, Alan passed away peacefully with the love of his family surrounding him, in Duncan BC.

Born in Manchester England, the only child of Sidney and Florence (Brown). Alan was a proud member of the Manchester Wheelers Cycling club and the RAF.

After marrying his loving wife Ann, together with their young daughters immigrated to Canada in 1966. Settling in Calgary AB where they welcomed a son and made many friends.

Alan was instrumental in the Calgary high rise construction industry, contributing to the downtown skyline seen today.

In 1984 they moved to Vancouver Island, a favourite holiday destination settling in Duncan BC. Alan worked on many smaller construction projects but favoured his beloved bike riding, fishing and camping with family and friends.

Alan will be dearly missed by Ann his wife of 63 years, his children Carol (Ken), Janice and John (Cheryl) and his grandchildren Mitchell, Brendan (Ryleigh), Brock (Annika), Juliet and Layla.

We would like to thank Dr Ryan Gallagher, Dr Colin Lundeen, Nathan and all of the amazing nurses at the Cowichan District Hospital for their care and support.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
