Tribute

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing away of our loving father, Wayne Delmar Schedel. Wayne was born in Duncan, BC, on September
11, 1949, to Walter and Mabel Schedel. He grew up in Duncan, Terrace and Kitimat, BC, playing in bands with his brothers, Bill, Les & John. In his early 20s, Wayne crossed the border to Washington where he played in various local bands. While he was doing the musical gigs, he met Susan in Sumas. They fell in love and got married soon and became parents to two lovely children, Michael and Melodie. Wayne was a loving husband and an exceptionally caring father. Wayne moved back to Canada with his family in the late 70s and lived for some time in the mainland before moving to Powell River in the early 80s, where they lived for about 7 years. Post that, Wayne and his family moved to Duncan where he lived out the rest of his life.

Wayne had always been a very active person. He worked in various trades and had a bunch of interesting hobbies. He loved gardening, golfing, baking and reading. He had an enormous collection of books. Wayne will always be remembered as a sharp and witty man with a smile that could light up a room.

Wayne is survived by his children, Michael(Annie) & Melodie(Andrew).
