From: Cowichan Valley Dart League
Relation: league member & friend

It saddens our whole community of dart players to hear of Wayne’s recent and sudden passing. Wayne was captain on the local Elks Club dart team, Elks Downtowners. For many years he was an extremely enthusiastic and sportsmanlike dart player, always ready and willing to volunteer when needed, even without asking. Wayne was missed this year, not able to participate very much. We have all lots a good man. We offer our deepest and sincere condolence to Carole and extended family & friends.

From: Frank and Reeny Timmermans
Relation: Camping friends

Dear Carole,
Reeny and I want to express our sincere condolences with the loss of your Wayne. We read it in the paper on the same day we went to Saratoga. We certainly always appreciated Wayne’s calm and steady presence during these vacations, enjoyed watching him around the campfire on the beach. We were encouraged to read that Wayne “slipped into Heaven”. This is certainly the hope that we can have and can look forward to see our loved ones again. We do thank The Lord for this. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

From: Diane Boychuk (Johnston)
Relation: childhood friend

Wayne and I (with Wayne’s siblings) were childhood friends. Our parents were good friends .. and my brother ..George and myself have many happy memories .. playing with Wayne and his siblings during our early growing years.. both in Portage La Prairie, and Brandon, Man. We are shocked and saddened to hear of Wayne’s passing. Our memories of Wayne … are of a very “caring” and “thoughtful” individual. Our deepest condolences to Carole and Wayne’s brothers and sisters. Diane Boychuk (Johnston)
