It is with heavy hearts that we announce her passing on Wednesday February 6, 2019, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Tofino, BC on May 24, 1949.
Predeceased by her parents George Stanton and Mabel Holme, her loving husband Vern, her daughter Jacqueline and stepsister Delores Whincup.
Gini will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Carla (Kelly) Krantz, granddaughter Ashly (Jaydon) Gait, sister Judy (Jack) Gold, stepbrother Jim Fraser, nephews Marc and Steve Thornton, as well as her extended family and numerous fabulous friends.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Szabo for her tremendous support and the nurses at 3 North (CDH) for their genuine care for our Momma.
A celebration of life will be held at HW Wallace, 5285 Polkey Road, Duncan on Saturday February 23 at 1:00.

together and I loved when Gini and Vern visited me in London, Ontario on their way back from Newfoundland, they refused to eat the lake perch and pickerel from Lake Erie it was hilarious …. Love those two together …. we met in the apartments overlooking the marina in Ukee and Gini owned the clothing store … Love that Gal we had so much fun… she did not want to drive in Vancouver so I went on her buying trips with her …so much fun … will miss her so much …. I am sorry that I am not there but hope you feel my presence … Love to all ! Please support the family !
