Vancine died in Cowichan District Hospital, Duncan, BC on October 2, 2022. She faced death as she faced life – with courage and perseverance. Born in Vancouver on October 19, 1934, Vancine spent many years in the Cowichan Valley. She will be missed by extended family, friends and her neighbours in the Silver Park community. At Vancine’s request, there will be no service. In memory of Vancine, you are invited to spend a few moments in quiet reflection.

Condolences to all who knew Vancine. I worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters many years ago now and Vancine was on the Board of that organization. She was always present, a thoughtful and gentle-mannered person. She was very supportive towards me and impressed me as quietly strong. I remember her with much appreciation!
