In Loving Memory
Valerie Janet Shave was born on January 15th, 1936, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She was happily married to her husband Charles.
She leaves behind:
- her beloved husband Charles of 37 years;
- 5 daughters; Jeanette (Jan), Karen, Beryl, Marjorie & Grace,
- 6 grandchildren; Jordan, Angela, Dawson, Jannah, James & Justin.
- 8 great-grandchildren: Jaden, Noah, Jayden, Jaxxyn, Hadley, Madelyn, Preston & Jemma.
- Sisters Barbara, Marjorie, Patricia, Valerie and brother Richard Popp.
- 3 step children: Rhonda, Jill and Scott and grandchildren Ben and Rose.
Valerie owned and operated North Bay Daycare for 15 years which is now operated by her daughter Beryl and granddaughter Jannah.
Valerie also spent 10 years in China teaching English as a Second Language with 4 different Universities.
Valerie is of the Christian faith and attended the Chemainus Pentecostal Church. She was also a Sunday School Teacher in Ontario and BC for 25 years.
Valerie is looking forward to meeting Jesus and seeing her family (mother, father, sisters Marjorie and Barbara) in Heaven.
Her funeral service will follow in September at the Chemainus Pentecostal Church
