Tribute
D’Arcy passed away peacefully in Duncan, BC at the age of 91. Pre-deceased by his wife, Irene, in 2000, and granddaughter, Michelle Yvonne Blair (Lavender), in 2014. He is survived by his sister, Valerie Lambert, and his children Gary Ouellette (LeeAnne), Cindy Lavender (Ross), Tim Ouellette, James Ouellette and their extended families, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren as well as many relatives and friends. D’Arcy was born on Pelee Island in Lake Erie, Ontario. He proudly served with The Canadian Armed Forces March 1943-October 1971 and was a World War 2 Veteran. We would like to say a special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses at Cowichan District Hospital for their amazing care during his stay, especially Sue, Madeline and Robert, you have a special place in our hearts for the care you provided. D’Arcy will be missed by his many family and friends worldwide. Anyone wishing to make a donation in lieu of flowers please donate to the Malahat Legion. There will be a Celebration of Life on February 12, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Malahat Legion, 1625 Shawnigan Lake-Mill Bay Rd, Shawnigan Lake, BC
