Sylvia Yvonne Duckworth Creighton (King)

Tribute
Sylvia passed away peacefully after a short illness at the age of 81. She is predeceased by her parents William King (1971), Muriel King (1985), her daughter Martha (1964), her husband William (2014) and her son Sean (2016). She is survived by her daughter Eleanor (Bruce), sister Pamela (Michael), Granddaughter Erin (Mark), Step grandson Jamie (Laura) and several cousins, nieces, and nephews in British Columbia, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. Sylvia graduated High School from Cowichan High School. She graduated as an RN from the Royal Columbian Hospital. As a nurse she worked at the Base Hospital in CFB Esquimalt, the Veterans Memorial Hospital, Eric Martin Pavilion and the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Sylvia’s hobbies included photography, reading, fishing, and travelling. She always enjoyed being near the ocean. A service will be held at St Peters Anglican Church in Duncan on Friday April 28 at 1000 am. Following the church services she will be interred at St Peters Church graveyard. Following both services a short reception will take place at the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
