Sylvia Chambers

August 4, 1941 - March 28, 2018

After a brief battle with Cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Chambers on March 28th, 2018 in her 76th year in Duncan BC.

Loving and devoted wife of 33 years she is survived by her husband and love of her life, Phil Chambers.

Sylvia also leaves behind her daughters Eve Claxton and husband Shawn Marsh, Christine Schout and husband Mike Schout , Theresa Oliveira and husband Luis Oliveira, and Brian Chambers, his wife Pam and their daughter Charlotte. Her many grandchildren Tasha Claxton and husband John Logal, Kayla Claxton, Genifer Fernandes, Nikole Fernandes, Chantel Oliveira, Chatherine Oliveria and great granddaughter Sophia and (Cujo and Eli her fur great grand babies)

Predeceased by her son Andrew Claxton (October 24th, 2000) Our grief is comforted in knowing she is with him now, and her heart is whole again.

Born in Dundee Scotland, Sylvia moved to Canada at a young age, raised her family and loved travelling with Phil before retiring together on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC.

Sylvia will be fondly remembered by friends and family as “The Sheltie Lady”, because being in the company of her many Shelties gave her the greatest joy of all.  Some of her pups whom have also passed and are, without a doubt, waiting for her in heaven, while Mitchell, Rylie, and Jaxson who are still here will miss her deeply.

Sylvia leaves her girls with a legacy of unwavering strength, fierce independence, perseverance and will always be remembered for her integrity and grace.  Too painful it is to say goodbye so we will fill the vacant space in our hearts with memories of you until our souls meet once again. We love you and miss you our dearest angel.

Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 27th, 11am at St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church -16066 The Gore Rd., Caledon East. L7E 0N6

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be ever at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

And the rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your local animal shelter in her name.
