Sven Maegaard

Tribute
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sven Maegaard. Husband, Father, Morfar, Farfar and Ollefar.
Left to mourn this great loss is his wife of 65 years and love of his life, Inge. Children Jorgen (Annette) in Denmark, Anne-Marie (Luis) in Costa Rica, Jan (Lene) in Duncan, Peter (Shelley) in Victoria and Darlene (Darren) in Shawnigan Lake; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dad was a barber in his earlier days and owned ‘Viking Barber Shop’, in Cordova Bay, which was very successful. In his later years, moved to Duncan and began his career for Seaspan as a cook on tug boats until his retirement. Dad loved the water. Duncan was his home but in his heart loved Costa Rica and Denmark and often talked about both.
He was a kind and loving soul and known for his belly laughs and a smile and tear in his eye when around his grandkids and great grandkids. All he wanted was his kids to be happy and ok.
We love you Dad.
