From: Cliff Rabey
Relation: co-worker

I am the former President of ILWU, Victoria Local 504. I have known Steve for many years and we were good friends. We had a lot laughs on and off the job. When on the job Steve was very conscientious and above all knew how to make things. Steve will be missed , but not forgotten on the waterfront. On behalf of our members I would like to let know that our thoughts are with you at this time.

Relation: Father & Mother Inlaw

Steve was really a good son-in-law to us.
He had a few quirks- but so did we.
when we had our last reunion he couldn’t have been more helpful, we were so proud to introduce him as our son-in-law.

From: Ron & Marg Durrance
Relation: long time friends

Ron always said Steve taught him how to run fast because after the fight was over (in the boxing ring) Steve wanted to keep going & you had to get going fast! All kidding aside we will miss him & his soft heart because under the rough exterior he was a very caring person.
