I am shocked and very saddened to read of your beloved Star’s passing in the Lethbridge Herald. She was such a sweet and care person she will be truly missed. I grew up with Star when she lived on 9 Ave. So. between 12th St. “A” and 13th Street in Lethbridge Many hours spend with her over those precious years. We had lost touch over the years. I had phoned her when we passed through the Duncan area in Oct. of 1982, Had a very nice visit over the phone as she was heading off to work. Often wonder how her and her family were doing. I did see Trudy or Wendy Jordan over the years and would ask about her. I saw her off & on over the years from her marriage to Tony and when she had her three girls. She live up the street from us years later on 12th Street “A”. She would walk passed our house on her way to work at the hospital and we would see and talk to her then. I also babysat for her on numerous occasions when the girls were very little and when they also lived on 10th Ave. S. After her move to B. C. we did not stay in touch which is a real regret. She was a one in a million and I have always treasured her friendship. One may not see a person for many years but the memories and the person as special as Star has never been forgotten. Memories have flooded back since yesterday when we learned of your loss. I still think of the times Star & Monty would slice potatoes thin and fry them how delicious they were and I still do this once in awhile and remember the fun and laughter we shared. Oh and Monty and his ice cream cones, oh how she would fuss but eat them with the rest of us and her laughter was so sweet, Her beautiful smile was always so close or there. With our Deepest Sympathy thoughts and Prayers being sent your way. Heaven now has a beautiful Angel. Sincerely Brenda (nee Quelch) Schuler (Dick)

Dear Conway, Monty, Tracey, Jody, Tanya families and friends.

When Star moved from Milk River to Lethbridge our homes were across the alley from each other. This proximity initiated a life long friendship as we attended school together and shared our deepest secrets with each other. Our paths crossed again as Star and Conway encouraged us to spend our winters in Viewpoint Park in Mesa, Arizona. Star always worked hard and yet laughed so easily Star was the perfect name as it captured her sparkling eyes and her positive attitude. She will be missed.
