It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Shirley May Cartwright, peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at the age of 82. Shirley was predeceased by her father, William Cartwright, mother Margret Cartwright (nee Darling), and her brother Charles Cartwright (Nancy).
Shirley will be deeply missed by her devoted son, Lloyd Serson (Judica), sister Della Cartwright, fondly remembered by nephews and niece, Bill Cartwright (Liz), Margie Pereira (Fernando), Chuck Cartwright (Pam), Jeffery Cartwright (Debbie)
Shirley touched her family and many friends with her love of life and music.
We want to thank the medical professionals and support staff of Cowichan District Hospital in Duncan, BC.
As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will hold a private service. When the pandemic is over a celebration of life is to be held in Kingston, Ontario. Shirley will be laid to rest with her family already passed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA in honour of her faithful companion “Boo”
