September 30, 1960 – May 5 2011
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, after a long difficult struggle with inflammatory bowel disease. Forever loved by her husband Stephen and children Tannis, Kyle, Ruth and Colin and grandma”s littlest angels Paisley and Kaylee.
Sandra was a very upbeat, caring and thoughtful women who devoted her entire life to her husband, children, family and the Lord.
Sandra was born and raised in Duncan by her parents Hazel and Joe Ball, along with her sister Sharon and brothers Joseph, Peter and William. After high school she went to nursing school and became an LPN until she fell in love with her sweetheart, married and began her family. In 1996 the Wylie”s moved to Lake Cowichan where they bought the South Shore Motel. Sandra touched the lives of the thousands of people she came in contact with. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten, by all who knew her caring, compassionate and loving ways.
Friends and family are invited to her memorial to be held Wednesday, May 11 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; 1815 Tzouhalem Road Duncan, B.C at 2pm.
A special THANK YOU to all the nurses and Doctors who cared for her.

My most sincere condolences to Peter, Bill and the rest of the family. I was Sandra’s locker partner and in her grade eight class. She was always such a sweet and patient girl, who ignored all of the teenager craziness and always was wise beyond her years. Having recently lost my own sister, I can share in the pain and saddness your family is feeling. Take care of each other and take comfort in your wonderful memories of Sandra.

I am so sorry for the loss of such a loving mother and wife. I worked with Sandra on the ‘Painted Bear Project’ and she was so excited to find two artists to paint her bears. Sandra could always be found with a camera in her hand while her wonderful children participated in local activities. She will be missed. Sincerely Maureen

I have been remembering all the things that Sandra and I did when we lived on Deacher Drive. How she lent me her bike so that I can learn how to ride, also how she couldn’t wait for her big sister come home for her next visit. We lost contact after I left home and moved to Edmonton,
