Sadie went to her eternal home with Jesus last Wednesday evening.
She was born in Opeinde, the Netherlands and immigrated with her family to Canada in 1952. They settled in the Cowichan Valley. She married Rudolf Wikkerink in 1959 and they raised their 4 children while working on the family farm.
She was a faithful member of Duncan Christian Reformed Church and a great supporter of Christian education. She enjoyed knitting, baking, traveling and was known for her great hospitality. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved watching them play sports and other activities.
She was predeceased by her husband Rudy in 2015. Lovingly remembered by her children, Christine (Pete), John (Dorothy), Fred (Marjan), Eileen (Doug), 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her 2 sisters and 3 brothers and a large extended family.
A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Cerwydden for the love and care they gave her, for singing and dancing with her these past 5 1/2 years.
Due to Covid a small Celebration of Life was held with immediate family
