Tribute
We are saddened to announce the passing of our son, brother and friend after a brief illness. Robin passed away as he lived with dignity, love and respect. Born in Powell River, BC, graduated from Max Cameron, worked for many years at Harmac as a pulp tester until his early retirement. Rob loved riding his Harley and having a great time full of laughter and good friends. Robin was predeceased by his father Reginald (2006), survived by his mother Muriel Lewis, siblings: Bill (Diane), Beverly Veitch (Donald), David (Brenda) and Catherine (Cecil), 16 nieces and nephews and their spouses/partners, 9 great nieces and nephews, best friend Tina and the “Gabriola Gang.” A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 12:00 at the Gabriola Golf and Country Club, 825 S Road. Please bring a story or two to share with the family.
Robin’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Nanaimo Regional Hospital for their compassion, support and excellent care Robin received during his visits.

Robin was always very kind to me, respectful, and welcoming as I began to attend a few of his parties. He welcomed me into his living room, his house, at a time when i really needed friends and a place to hang. I remember him once starting up his bike – in the living room – and i remember his laughter and joy as the exhaust and incredible noise filled the space and he even let me sit on the thing as he was revving it up. I had, as many on Gabriola, heard “things” about the famous Robin Lewis, but he always treated me with laughter and love and respect at a time when i really needed it. I will always remember his laugh and his smile, and i thank him for letting me hang with him and and his buddies and share his stories. We will miss him.
