It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roberta (Bobbi) Dalziel after a courageous battle with cancer. Mom was met with the angels, on October 7, 2023, at 8:22pm.
Bobbi was predeceased by; her parents: Richard (Dick) and Mary Carpenter; Husband: Jim Dalziel; Siblings: Richard Carpenter Jr., Sharon Point, Lynn Mura; Daughter: Chanda Hawkes; Grandchildren: Jorden Scott, Chance Russell.
Survived by; daughters: Dennine (Philip) Scott, Robin Dalziel; son-in-law: Kevin Hawkes; Sister: Emma (Tony) Reid; Grandchildren: Randi Aird, Jami-Lynne Dalziel, Brandon Dalziel; Great grandchildren: Dominik Aird, Khobie Dalziel, Kylie Russell; and many nieces, nephews, chosen family, and friends.
Bobbi enjoyed and embraced family and all the time spent together. “Moms” was the gathering place to celebrate milestones, achievements or to just be there for you. Mom didn’t offer advice but listened and would ask “What’s next?” usually with her eyes. She would keep us focused when needed or help us forget for a moment or two. Numo always let you know you were loved, “I love you”.
Mom was an LPN at Cairnsmore Place, where she enjoyed her work with the residents. She then was a family support worker in the Cowichan valley. Her final career was with SD #79 Cowichan valley as an education assistance. Bobbi was well respected and loved by all that she worked with.
Full circle mom became a resident at Cairnsmore Place October 2021. There she made many friends, staff, and residents alike. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at H.W. Wallace (2853 Roberts Road, Duncan) on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
