Rob Armour

January 24, 1947 - July 29, 2022

Tribute

Rob passed away peacefully at home in his yard on a beautiful summer morning, with family by his side. Born into a long time pioneer family, he would call the Cowichan Valley home for all of his 75 years.

Predeceased by his parents, Ken & Hilda Armour and sister Wendy. Rob is survived by his wife Marg of 53 years, daughter Cindy (Mark), granddaughter Morgan (Brad), grandson Devon and the precious family dog Bella.

He was always ready to lend a hand to help his family and they were his greatest pride and joy. When the grandkids were left in “Pa’s” care, we never knew what shenanigans the three of them might get into. We will get those kids straightened out from his antics yet! He will be dearly missed by us.

An extremely hard working individual, Rob was involved in several business ventures throughout his working years. After retiring he spent his summer months keeping his yard tidy, and in winter reading local history books. If there was no sign of rain, the “antique teenager” loved to take his hot rods that he built himself, for a spin around the lake. Fridays were always special to him as his best friend Ron would come by for a visit and keep him up to date with all the old car news.

As per Rob’s wishes, there will be no service or as he would say “no parade” and flowers are gratefully declined.

One of my most favorite customers at my years at the CVI. Not one to suffer fools for sure. We always managed to share an interesting thought or comment. Is truly missed by myself and many others who were fortunate enough to have known him.
