Raymond William Mogg

May 31, 1955 - December 5, 2020

Tribute

After a brief battle with cancer, Ray left us to be with the angels.

He is survived by his partner Kathleen van Buiten, his son Tyson, daughter Alexa, stepson Dylan Williams, step daughter Asia Williams and family and friends. In life Ray was a dreamer, always coming up with some new idea, all in, until the next idea came along! He loves to travel and in his younger years he was an avid hunter, fisherman, gold miner and rock collector. One of his most impressive achievements was the in-ground swimming pool he made from river rocks, one rock at a time.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Cowichan Hospice House, where Ray spent his last week.

Thank you to all the wonderful staff there and at CDH and to Dr Tom Rimmer and Dr Masuda.

Oh, Kathleen, Tyson and Alexa! Hannah just told me and here it is, so saddened to read this; remembering Ray’s great smile, laugh and tenacity! New ideas? He certainly had some dandies and he took them very far, with great success. I send you big hugs and will remember him with much fondness. I hope your hearts feel a little more ease each day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We’re very sorry to hear today, of Ray’s passing. He will be missed. I loved his off-grid tiny homes plan and I’d heard he’d built a couple. Too bad a mountain of red tape stopped that project because it was a great idea. The world lost an interesting and imaginative individual. Happy Trails Ray,
Lorne and Serena
