Tribute
Phil passed away peacefully on November 10, 2016 in Cowichan District Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie, sons Terry (Marion), Robin (Kim), daughters Geni (Shawn) and Glynis and grandchildren, Colin, Ross, Ian, Diane, Lochlan, Jessie and Kaeli. Brothers in law, Robert, Ricardo and Christopher and Marjorie.
During his struggle with cancer, he spent many days in Sechelt watching the ocean and wildlife, which he so much enjoyed. Always at his side was his beloved cocker spaniel, Abby. Jackie, wishes to give heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bryan Bass and Trieanna , the nursing staff on the third floor and special thanks to nurse Sue at Cowichan District Hospital. Jackie would also like to thank her loving family and dear friends for their support and compassion throughout Phil’s illness.
At Phil’s request there will not be a memorial service. Instead, when by the water, please take a few moments to remember Phil for his passion for life and people.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation will be appreciated.

The little blue truck, the bigger green/sandy yellow truck, the many trips in to town, the many Sunday’s on either deck laughing out loud, that was Phil to us and our memories of him will be of those great times. And the robot costume was the best ever. It is time to take it easy Phil, we know where you are, so relax.
