They say if you can count your friends on one hand you are lucky. Our world is missing one of the most thoughtful caring friends. She touched my life 25 years ago in a hotel room in Calif. before moving to Canada and has blessed it ever since. We shared highs and lows, love and loss, laughter and tears and many games of scrabble over coffee and ice cream. Her ear was always there to listen. She was there too, to tell you if you if you were out of line. Marcie/ Chris, Tom/Karla, Mike and her grandchildren were the loves of her life as they were hers as well. I will miss our conversations, and I will forever hold the love of our friendship in my heart. You are missed my dear friend,Penny by many!

Dear Marcie & family, our hearts go out to you at this sad time. Penny was one of the first friends we met when coming to the area. The coffee pot was always on, always time for a chat, or share a meal. She had a heart of gold, the most caring & loving person I knew. Yes, she was a great cook & I treasure many of her recipes too. We had lots of fun times, going to bingos with the gals, & sharing many laughs. I’ll miss you Penny. God only chooses the fairest! Hugs, Betty
