Newcomb, Pauline ( Retired Teacher in the Cowichan Valley)

 

Passed away peacefully at home in Cowichan Bay with family on May 2, 2014.  Pauline was born in Brandon, Manitoba on September 18, 1917.  Beloved wife of the late Lloyd.  Loving mother of Ross and the late Carole. Cherished grandma of Samantha, Connor and the late Robert.  Dear sister of Gwen, Pat and the late John.  Will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends.  A celebration of Pauline’s life will be on Saturday May 10, 2014 from 11am-1pm at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre 5285 Polkey Road.  Memorial Donations to BC Children’s Hospital.  Online condolences at www.hwwallacecbc.com

She lived a long, happy and amazing life and will be dearly missed

My deepest condolences to the family & friends of Pauline. She was a wonderful lady & will be missed. I met Pauline through a bridge club, & we enjoyed many years of playing. I hope they have a bridge club in Heaven for her to enjoy!

Pauline Newcomb was my french teacher at Mt Prevost Junior Secondary in the years 66/67 and 67/68. RIP to a wonderful lady with a most gentle spirit.

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. Mrs Newcomb was a warm, compasssionate lady. May cherished memories fill your minds and keep her ever close in your hearts. I found it interesting to see that she was born the year before my dad in the same province just a few miles apart. My dad was born in Harding Manitoba in 1918
