Tribute
NADEAU, Paul January 20, 1940 – April 21, 2014 Paul Nadeau passed away peacefully April 21st after a long fight with cancer. He was a happy French Acadian who loved his faith, family and friends. Born into a large family in Edmundston, NB, he enjoyed farm life in Blue River and was later educated in Montreal and Quebec City. Paul was a marine who served during the Cuban and Cyprus crises, while doing Mediterranean and Caribbean tours on aircraft carriers, the Boxer and Monrovia. His next venture was owning and operating Kamloops Health Spa. Paul also logged and worked in mining. He was a member of the Operating Engineers for 37 years and a past member of the Masonic Lodge. He retired on Vancouver Island and spent 37 years on his beloved farm in Cobble Hill. We extend our deep appreciation to the professionals who helped him through this journey… Father Sean, Dr. Harris, Dr. Pewarchuck, home care nurses (thanks Mary), home support, massage therapist, Devon, Victoria and Duncan cancer clinics. As Gord and Barb are out of the country and we have no way of contacting them. We are sending condolences for them,
From: Christa Webb
Relation: Childhood friend of Pauline
I was saddened to hear of Mr. Nadeau’s passing. I remember him fondly from my childhood years while hanging out with Pauline at their Cobble Hill home. He always had a big smile on his face and was always welcoming of me…even when Pauling and I were up to no good. I bumped into him a few times during the past several years and it was nice to see he still had the same big smile and personality I remembered as a kid, as we chatted about our lives to date. May you all find peace in your memories of him.
