Olive Joceline Marie Haddock ( Piché)

Date of Death: March 27, 2022

Tribute

It is with profound sadness that the family announces Olive’s peaceful passing on March 27, 2022 at the age of 80.  The Lord saw her getting tired and whispered, “Come to me”, but she will rest and live forever in our hearts.

Olive will lovingly be remembered and treasured by her life partner, Edward Doucette, and her children, Lise, Richard, Raymond, and Lori.  Mémère will also be forever missed by her  10 grandchildren whom she loved, touched deeply, and was so proud of.

Olive will also be  deeply missed by her siblings; Marilyn (Remie), Leona, Ronald (Barb), Henriette, Victor (Pam), and June (Jack).  Their grief is eased knowing that their dear sister is being reunited with her parents, Joseph and Graziella (Grace) Piché (nee Paul), brothers: Norbert, Gilbert and Robert, and her sister, Yvette.

Also left to mourn are her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her.

Olive was born in St. Eustache, Manitoba, retired to beautiful Vancouver Island, and loved to travel to visit her family wherever and whenever she could.  She was an incredible seamstress, loved to cook and did it like she was cooking for an army.  She was loving, generous, and protective, and her home was always open to others.

God bless everyone who loved her, and we thank you for holding the family in your thoughts and prayers. Where there is deep grief, there is great love, and it is Olive’s faith in the Lord that comforts all of us as she joins God’s kingdom.

A celebration of her life will be held on April 30, 2022, at 1pm at HW Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre  5285 Polkey Road Duncan, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, Olive’s family suggests remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Warmland Shelter, Canadian Mental Health Association-Cowichan Valley Branch, at cmhacowichanvalley.com/donations
