Dad,
It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to say goodbye. The world feels quieter and a little colder, without your presence. I keep expecting to hear your voice, to see your smile, and the silence is deafening.
All the moments, big and small, are treasures I’ll hold close in my heart.
You were so many things to me. To name a few, you taught me the value of hard and thorough work, the importance of kindness, plus, how to cook a few special dishes. I’ll always carry those lessons with me and will always think of you when I cook turkey dinner and potato salad.
Though you’re gone, your spirit lives on in me, and in the love you gave so freely. I’ll miss you more than words can say. I will especially miss your knowledge, stories, and generosity – your heart was filled with so much love for others. I will especially miss hearing you play the harmonica-it was so beautiful and relaxing.
Rest peacefully, Dad. You’ll never be forgotten.
With all my love, Nicole

Grandpa,
I’ve always been so proud to have a Grandpa who was so full of wisdom, one who would with certainty give me an in depth explanation to any question I had. I’ve always known that if I ever had an important question, you would be the one person who could give me a precise answer. I will deeply miss learning from you and I wish my children still had the opportunity to experience your wisdom like I was so fortunate to have. I am forever grateful for your profound love and support during both of my pregnancies and after I gave birth to your great grandchildren, who you loved so dearly. You always made sure I had your special home-made lactation cookies and you never hesitated to cook me many of your delicious, nourishing meals. I will never forget the many acts of love you gave me and the kids and I’m so grateful for each one. I will miss hearing you play the harmonica so beautifully on Christmas and at family gatherings, if I close my eyes I can still hear and see you playing – a magical, lasting memory that I hope I never forget. Thank you for sharing 30 years of love, patience, laughter, knowledge, and kindness with me. It doesn’t feel like long enough but I am so grateful for the time that we had together.
Rest easy, Grandpa
Love, your dear granddaughter,
Courtney
