Monika Piercy
February 25, 1948 - February 6, 2015
Tribute
Monika was born on February 25, 1948 in Heidelberg, Germany and passed away at her home in Duncan, BC on February 6, 2015.
She came to Canada with her parents in 1951. It was here that she met Ken and had their three children whom she is survived by; Lisa and her children Cassandra and Kelsey; Russell (Tina) and their children Emma and Lynnea and Nikki (Marty) and their son Braden. Monika is also survived by her father, Wolf Werner and brother Andy Werner.
Mom worked at Thrifty’s head office in Victoria for 25 years. She loved baking, crafts, “garage saling” and was very involved with her family. Mom was so supportive of her children. She had an open door policy in her home, her heart was so kind and she always wanted to help others. This characteristic has allowed many other people to know her as “Mom” and they will all miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 270 Campbell Street, Duncan, BC on March 7, 2015. Please contact nikkirobbins@telus.net for more details.
