Tribute
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mike Jeune who passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2016.
Mike is survived by his mother Elena Jeune, Grandparents Antonio (Elsa) Zavarelli, Aunts and Uncles; Mario and Adriana Zavarelli, Rosemary and Leo (Jansen) Zavarelli, and many cousins.
Born and raised in Duncan BC, graduated from Cowichan Secondary School, followed by enlisting in the Canadian Army Reserve at the Bay Street Armories in Victoria BC where Mike eventually resided. Mike changed paths to study culinary at UVIC. In recent times Mike had worked at a few different jobs. Mike loved to spend his spare time playing darts, hockey and socializing. Mike will be remembered for his big smile, big heart and big hugs.
Mike you will be forever in our hearts, gone but not forgotten.
With respect to the family’s wishes there will only be a Private Memorial Service.
Donations can be made in Mike’s name to the charity of your choosing.

Elena I am so very saddened to hear about Mike’s passing. I often think about him and Darrin playing in “the good old days” and frequently tell the story about him teaching Darrin to tie his own shoelaces because “Mike didn’t want to tie them anymore.” Good memories.
